The mission of our program is to provide quality, loving, licensed childcare and preschool education for children ages six weeks through five years old as a nonprofit service to local families.
We provide a carefully planned, stimulating play-based program for the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development of young children in a safe, clean and nurturing environment to thoroughly equip them for kindergarten and beyond. Our teachers, directors and families create a supportive community where our children learn and thrive.
Our play-based model consists of three components: a formal Creative Curriculum, thematic units and learning through play. All components begin in the toddler rooms, around 15 months, with the formal curriculum becoming more prominent in the preschool classrooms (ages 3+). Even in the youngest rooms, we find opportunities to introduce the three elements.

Rock Spring is a full-day, year-round program for children from six weeks through five years old. Children move through four stages, and the same play-based approach carries across all of them. Each stage has its own page with classroom names, teachers, and daily routines.
Infants and Mobile Babies
Our infant classrooms take children from six weeks to about ten months. Mobile babies move up from there and stay until roughly fifteen to eighteen months. Even in these youngest rooms we begin introducing the three elements of our preschool program, with learning through play carrying the most weight at this age. See Infants and Mobile Baby Classrooms.
Toddlers
Children join the toddler rooms at around eighteen months. Learning through play and thematic units are emphasized most here, and the Creative Curriculum begins to take shape. See Toddler Classrooms.
Preschool
Our preschool program formally begins in the three-year-old classrooms, where the Creative Curriculum becomes more prominent alongside thematic units and learning through play. See Preschool Classrooms.
Pre-K and Enrichment
In the final year before kindergarten, children take on more responsibility and become more independent. Letter and number recognition runs year-round in a print-rich environment, with themes often drawn from the children’s own interests. See Pre-K and Enrichment Classrooms.
