What ages do you serve?
We care for children from six weeks old through pre-kindergarten, and we also run school-age programs — before-school and after-school care, plus a summer program. Our early childhood classrooms are grouped by age (infants, toddlers, twos, threes, fours, and pre-K), so a family can stay with us from infancy right through the elementary school years.
Do you have openings, and how do I get a spot?
Yes — we currently have infant openings, and our infant room takes babies from six weeks old. The fastest way to start is our waitlist form, which captures your child’s birthdate and preferred start date; there’s a $50 fee that’s applied to your registration if you enroll. From there, give us a call at 301-530-4526 or send an email and we’ll get a tour on the calendar. We do our best to fit families in when they need care, and when we can see a spot coming for your child, we let you know as early as we can — often several months ahead. What does tuition cost, and what’s included?
We publish our full rate schedule — most centers don’t. Current monthly tuition for every age group, the registration fee, and payment details are all on our tuition page, along with a detailed set of Tuition FAQs. Included in tuition: breakfast, an afternoon snack, milk, infant formula, and weekly music and movement. Lunch comes from home, or you can add our optional lunch program.
Do you accept child care vouchers or subsidy?
Yes. We accept State of Maryland and Montgomery County child care subsidy, along with military child care vouchers. Call us at 301-530-4526 and we’ll help you understand how to use yours here, or how to apply.
Are you licensed by the State of Maryland?
Yes — we’re licensed by the State of Maryland, license #153621. We also go beyond what the license requires: we’re accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which fewer than 10 percent of programs nationally hold, and we’re rated through Maryland EXCELS, the state’s quality rating system. We’re happy to share our license and inspection records with any family who asks.
What are your hours, and how late can I pick up?
We’re open Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Extended care runs until 6:45 pm for an additional fee, with a heads-up to the office by 4:00 pm on the day you need it — current rates are in our Tuition FAQs. For families commuting back from DC or coming off the Beltway at rush hour, that extra 45 minutes is often the difference between a calm pickup and a stressful one.
Where do I park for drop-off and pickup?
We have free drop-off spaces near the entrance, plus a parking garage at 6555 Rock Spring Drive that’s free for the short stays drop-off and pickup usually take. If you’re using the designated drop-off spaces during the day, stop by the office first for a bumper magnet — cars parked there without one can be towed. There’s a parking map on our website, and the office will walk you through all of it on your first day.
Are you open year-round?
Yes. We run full-day, Monday through Friday, all year — no long summer closure and no scramble to cover school breaks.
