Rock Spring Children's Center

RSCC is more than a “day care center.” It is a nursery, a school, a community and truly an extension of our family. We have two children at RSCC (ages 2 and 5). From the caring and professional teachers in the infant rooms to the pre-k classrooms and every class in between, we’ve been truly delighted with our children’s learning experience.

Rock Spring Children’s Center (RSCC) is such a special place that we’re so thankful to have found. Our two daughters have attended RSCC for the last few years and thrived more than we could have ever hoped. The administration and teachers are exceptional, loving and nurturing and always accommodate our needs particularly with challenging situations like food allergies and severe eczema. Our daughters look forward to going to school daily to see their teachers and friends, and we are constantly impressed with the curriculum at each age group. The school also offers great additional perks like hot lunch options, extracurricular activities and monthly parents night out. In addition, the RSCC community is an incredible group of supportive people and we feel as though we have a second family within the school. We will be sad when it’s time for the next chapter, but we know our daughters will be well prepared for kindergarten and we will all leave RSCC with lasting friendships. We will always be thankful for our time at the school and the RSCC family will forever hold a very special place in our hearts.

It goes without saying that Rock Spring Children’s Center has been a home away from home for our kids. So, we wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude and satisfaction for the remarkable experience our children have had at RSCC. It has truly been a privilege to be part of such a nurturing and enriching environment. From the very beginning, it was evident that RSCC is more than just a preschool for our kids and ourselves. It is a place where genuine care and dedication thrive. One of the biggest areas that we as parents feel worthy of commending and mentioning is the low teacher turnover. The fact that the majority of RSCC teachers have remained at school for so many years, was what drew us to RSCC compared to all the other preschools we had interviewed. The dedication of the teachers has been nothing short of extraordinary. Their unwavering commitment to the children’s growth and development is truly commendable. All the RSCC teachers we have had the privilege to know in our children’s classrooms have had a few things in common – their warmth, patience and enthusiasm that they bring to the class. These qualities of RSCC teachers have made a lasting impression on my children. Every day, I see and hear my kids excitedly share stories about their teachers and the fun activities they engage in together. RSCC teachers have not only imparted knowledge but also instilled a love for learning that will undoubtedly shape my children’s future educational journeys. Equally impressive is the way the administration pays attention to every detail and values parents’ feedback. This level of engagement is what sets RSCC apart. It is reassuring to know that the management actively seeks ways to enhance the RSCC experience for both children and parents. As parents, our hearts swell with joy seeing the progress our children have made during their time at RSCC. In addition to age appropriate academics, they have blossomed socially and emotionally, an area that we deeply care about. Social and emotional well being of preschool aged kids is a testament to the approach RSCC embraces. Thank you RSCC for fostering an environment where my children feel safe, supported and inspired to explore their potential.

As new parents we were overwhelmed with the daycare vs nanny vs au pair decision. I didn’t fully realize until recently that we weren’t interviewing child care providers. We were entering into a partnership and community that would help raise our boys. The passion, commitment, and love given towards our boys and all children at RSCC is amazing. We are eternally grateful.

We feel privileged to send our daughter to Rock Spring. When we talk about it with her or with our friends, we say she is “going to school,” and that is how we feel. Rock Spring is not a daycare; it is a school in the best, holistic sense of the word. It is a rich, diverse community where social and emotional growth is nurtured alongside developmentally appropriate cognitive learning opportunities.

It is not cheap to have our child in great care for over 40 hours each week in a stimulating educational environment. However, our son went on to kindergarten confident and more than ready. We view the money we spent as one of the best investments we could have made.

In addition to the typical school day, scheduled field trips and potluck dinners provide opportunities for parents to get to know each other. RSCC is not just a daycare center, but a community of families brought together through their children.
